EIGHT BENEFITS OF MINIMALISM

Image
When I first came across the idea of minimalism, it was only to pack my son's  belongings compactly in just one huge suitcase. A tall order, but Marie Kondo showed me her method and my eyes were opened to a whole new way of living.  LIVING WITH LESS.  As I kept reading and watching YouTube videos, I discovered another way to declutter.  PROJECT 333 I am a laidback character. A bit OCD about cleaning but too laidback to spend hours actually clearing up messes.  So, minimalism was exactly my CUP OF TEA. Let's look at the right benefits of minimalism that attracted me. 1. LESS MESS. No, I'm not rhyming. With heavy duty decluttering, there's less to clean up  on a daily basis.  For example, if there are less spoons available, the same ones are used again and again and washed when needed. So, the kitchen sink has lot less utensils filling it up. A visual delight at the end of a long tiring day! 2. LESS CLEANING   If you have less items to use, you have less items to clean

THE RIGHT MOVES - PACKING TO MOVE TO A SMALLER HOME.

A dream of owning a house on the ground floor has finally COME TRUE!   Add to that the fact that there are two washrooms in the said house and its like HEAVEN ON EARTH. No more dancing in desperation outside the loo waiting for someone to 'finish'.  We had been praying for a house on the ground floor for many years now. Couple of years ago, we met a nice old lady who owned just what we were looking for and wanted to sell - but not just yet! We negotiated on the price then WAITED for the green signal from her.  Finally, a couple of months ago, we started paperwork. After encountering and overcoming several obstacles, we finally cleared all legalities and are now the legal owners of a 2BHK on the ground floor.  The apartment (yes it's a flat) is in a building situated in a village close to Mapusa. We are a stone's throw from the village church and cemetery. Just opposite our building is a horticulture stand. One kilometre's walk will bring us to Mapusa bus stand. Anot
